How we started:

The Mountain West Society for Post-Acute Care was formed by Utah Regional Hospitalists in August of 2019. Utah Regional Hospitalists services Inpatient, Critical Care, ID, Psychiatric, Post-Acute Care, Long Term Care and Telemedicine in multiple states. We are active with our hospital and community partners and strive to keep up to date with the most current and evidence-based educational tools. Many of our protocols and clinical pathways we practice from have been developed by AMDA. We wanted to expand our knowledge and leadership to support other states in sharing best practices and have this great opportunity to better support the national organization, which is why we wanted to take on this chapter.

Who we are?

Mountain West Society for Post Acute Long Term Care Medicine is a State Chapter of AMDA Medicine Society. We serve Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. It has been created to provide support, education, information to Medical Directors, medical providers, nursing home administrators, Directors of Nursing in order to promote adherence to state requirements, improve interpersonal relationships and to benefit patient care in Post Acute Care and LongTerm.
